WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PREVIEW

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PREVIEW

The women’s basketball team heads into the season with new head coach, Omari Wiltshire, at the helm. The program has been extremely successful the last three seasons posting an overall 42-8 (.840) regular-season record. During that span, the team was OCAA East Division Champions in the 2017-2018 season and finished second in the East Division the other two seasons. This time around, there are a many new faces on the roster and they are ready to compete and continue the program’s success.

Coach’s Quote

With both new recruits and returning players, Wiltshire believes the program will continue their success.

“We are a very talented family. We are a team that each player comes with special abilities. We understand that we are a puzzle, and each piece is important to the next to create our big picture,” he explained. “Our bar is set high, and each athlete understands the importance of this year. Our approach to the culture is to simply compete. We remember the accomplishments of the last three seasons that ended in the final eight appearances and early exit. We are looking to get over the hump and to medal this year.”
