HUSKIES TAKE DOWN SURGE

The George Brown Huskies women's basketball team downed the St. Lawrence Surge 56-48 in Coach Omari Wiltshire's first win as head coach on Friday, February 11th on the road.

NOTABLE STATS: The Huskies started strong, leading 20-8 at the end of the first. Carrying their first-quarter momentum well into the second, the Huskies pulled ahead by a score of 38-18 by the half. The Huskies were able to hold off a late push by the Surge in the second half to win 56-48. 

Second-year guard Mariam Knate led the Huskies with a game-high 12-points, three boards and two boards.

Second-year forward Kayana Granger tallied a double-double of  10-points and 12 rebounds while adding four assists, a steal and a block. Third-year forward Carolina Rebolledo was solid in her Huskies debut racking up eight points, seven rebounds, a steal and a block in the victory.
