HUSKIES TAKE OUT DURHAM IN SEASON FINALE

The women's basketball team bounced the Durham Lords by a score of 54-44 in their season finale at home on Friday (Feb. 7) night.

NOTABLE STATS: Jaycelyn Valencia led the charge with a game-high 15 points and seven assists.

Omon Okojie filled the stat with nine points, three rebounds, two steals and two blocks in the game. George Brown's defence was elite tonight holding the Lords to 23.3% from the field.

GRADUATING STUDENTS 

George Brown College Athletics and Recreation would like to thank our graduating students for their commitment to the team over their Huskies careers. Our 2024-25 graduating Women's Basketball student-athletes are:  

#2 Jaycelyn Valencia
Valencia was recruited to the women's basketball program in 2021 and has been a staple at point guard ever since. She will be graduating from the Early Childhood Education program.

#4 Janice Chen 
Chen joined the women's basketball team in 2022 and has been a consistent addition. She will graduate from the Social Media Foundation – Content Creation program.

#8 Emma Nosella
Nosella was recruited to the women's basketball team leading into this season. Right from day one, she has done whatever she could to help the team coming off the bench. She will be graduating from the Entrepreneurship program.

#15 Jordyn Dawkins
Since her arrival in 2022, Dawkins has been instrumental in the team's achievements. Her determination, and drive have made a significant impact both on and off the court. Dawkins will graduate from the Business Administration program.

#24 Effe Mae Abban
Abban was brought into the women's basketball program ahead of the season and has made her presence felt from day one. She will be graduating from the Dental Office Administration program.
