HUSKIES PLAY TO DRAW AGAINST DURHAM

The men's soccer team picked their third straight tie with a 2-2 score against the Durham Lords on Saturday (Sept. 21) afternoon at home.

HOW IT HAPPENED: The Huskies got off to a fast start. In his first match of the season, Gianfranco Gileppo opened the scoring by converting on a free kick in the 6th minute. The home side dominated possession but weren't able to double their lead and went into the half up 1-0.

The Lords responded early in the second half scoring a goal in the 47th minute. The Huskies retook the lead thanks to Mark Do Coito's penalty kick for his fourth goal of the season in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, George Brown couldn't hold off Durham as they surrendered a goal in the 89th minute.

UP NEXT: The Huskies (0-1-3) host the St. Lawrence Surge (2-2) on Friday (Sept. 28) night at Esther Shiner Stadium. It all starts at 8pm
