The men's soccer team fell 3-1 to the Algonquin Wolves in their season opener at Esther Shiner Field on Sunday (Sept. 8) afternoon. 

HOW IT HAPPENED: First-year winger Eisrom Ghebretensae fired in a one-time from just outside the box in the 38th minute, scoring George Brown's first goal of the season. The Huskies carried the 1-0 lead into halftime.

The Wolves came out aggressive in the second half and got results, scoring twice between the 50th and 58th minute. They added an insurance goal in the 88th minute to secure the win.

UP NEXT: The Huskies (0-1) travel to duel the Cambrian Golden Shield on Friday (Sept. 13) night on the road. Kickoff is at 5:30pm.
