The Huskies fell 3-0 (19-25, 18-25, 17-25) to the Seneca Sting at home on Wednesday (Jan. 29) night.
NOTABLE STATS: Sherwin Vallejo tallied a team-high 11 points on nine kills and two blocks.
Kaarina Niemimaa chipped in with nine points on seven kills and two service aces.
UP NEXT: The Huskies play their final road game of the season against the Centennial Colts (10-7) on Friday (Jan. 31) night.
GRADUATING STUDENTS
George Brown College Athletics and Recreation would like to thank our graduating students for their commitment to the team over their Huskies careers. Our 2024-25 graduating Women's Volleyball student-athletes are:
#3 Brianne Lee
Since joining the program in the fall of 2022, Lee has played an instrumental role on and off the court. In 40 career games, the setter has recorded 637 assists, 186 digs and 64 points. She led the team in assists per set in two of the three seasons. She will be graduating from the Interior Design program.
#4 Claire Ramos
From the first day Ramos joined the program ahead of the 2023-2024, she has been a spark plug and a defensive specialist. Over two seasons, the libero has tallied 437 total digs and averaged just under four digs per set in 32 matches. She's currently second in the OCAA in digs per set.
Last year she was named an East Division Second Team All-Star, a member of the East Division All-Rookie team and Huskies Female Rookie of the Year. She will be graduating from the Business program.
#8 Jessie Wei
Wei has been a steady presence on the team since joining ahead of the 2024-2025 season. This semester, she has stepped up significantly, taking on the role of starting setter. She will graduate from the Health Informatics program.
#15 Jessica Wong
Wong impressed the coaches and earned a spot on the roster for the 2024-2025 season. Her dedication and passion have been great additions to the team. She will graduate from the Financial Services – Investment Analysis program.
