HUSKIES DOMINATE ST. LAWRENCE

The women's soccer team extended their winning streak to four games with a 5-0 victory over the St. Lawrence Surge on the road Sunday (Oct. 6) afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED: The Huskies offence continued to click on all cylinders right away, which led to Senna Mathew Mindackal recording her first goal of the season in the 17th minute. Ashley Macdonald found the back of the net in the 24th minute, giving the team a 2-0 lead at halftime.

Macdonald continued her strong play in the second half, completing her second consecutive hat-trick and third of the season with goals in the 70th and 90th minutes. Bianca Rea was the other scorer, which marked her fifth goal of the season.

Goalkeeper Yazmeen Jamieson made six saves to secure the shutout.

UP NEXT: The Huskies (5-3) face off against the Centennial Colts (7-0-1) on the road Wednesday (Oct. 9) night. It all starts a 6pm.
