HUSKIES DOMINATE FLEMING

The women's soccer team secured back-to-back wins with a commanding 6-0 victory over the Fleming Phoenix on Sunday (Sept. 29) afternoon on the road.

HOW IT HAPPENED: From the opening whistle, the Huskies overwhelmed the Phoenix, recording 25 shots on goal and earning 11 corners throughout the match. Despite the pressure, it wasn't until the 42nd minute that Bianca Rea opened the scoring with the lone goal of the first half. The offense erupted in the second half, with Alyssa Budhoo scoring twice in the 46th minute and again 13 minutes later to make it 3-0. Sophia Gutierrez, Rebecca Oliveira, and Rea added to the tally, sealing the win. 

Goalkeeper Yazmeen Jamieson made five saves to secure the shutout.

UP NEXT: The Huskies (3-3) will face Fleming (0-7) again on Friday (Oct. 4) at Esther Shiner Stadium. Kickoff is at 8pm.
