Women’s Volleyball outside hitter Jaque Ronquillo and Men's Basketball forward Derrick Taylor have been named Huskies Athletes of the Week for the period ending November 13, 2022.
Jaque Ronquillo (Women’s Volleyball)
On their recent Eastern Ontario road trip, Ronquillo (1st Year) led the Huskies offence recording 23 points on 22 kills along with 10 digs and a service ace versus the Algonquin Wolves. In their second game of their road-trip, Ronquillo was once again the Huskies primary source of offence against the La Cite Coyotes, finishing with 20 points on 19 of 37 kills along with six digs.
Derrick Taylor (Men's Basketball)
Taylor (2nd Year) was highly efficient for the Huskies in their latest home and home sweep against Eastern Ontario's Algonquin Wolves and La Cite Coyotes. Against the Wolves, Taylor collected a double-double with 16 points, 11 rebounds along with seven assists and five steals. He then went on to rack up another double-double against the Coyotes, scoring 17 points with 13 rebounds along with a side of two steals and six assists.
