MEN'S BASKETBALL WIN ON ROAD OVER KNIGHTS

Two Huskies players low-five each other

The George Brown's men's basketball team (2-1) defeated the Fleming Knights (1-2) 100-88 in Peterborough on Friday night (Nov 4). The Huskies entered this game after falling just short of a fourth quarter comeback against the Durham Lords earlier in the week.

HOW IT HAPPENED: George Brown got out to an early 28-23 lead in the first quarter and stayed in control of the rest of the game from there. When the Knights would chip away to close the gap, the Huskies countered by putting a string of points together. George Brown went into the 4th quarter up 74-57, and closed out the game to take the win 100-88.

Leading the way in scoring for the Huskies was Jeremiah Brown (4th Year) who had 24 points, seven steals, and three rebounds. Derrick Taylor (2nd Year) added 22 points, eight rebounds and two steals, and Andre Barrow (3rd Year) also recorded 14 points and grabbed five rebounds in the Huskies win.

"It was great to get the victory on the road and get back into the win column.", commented assistant coach Marlon Greene on his team's performance. "We played the George Brown way, playing defense, moving the ball on offense and we are continuing on the right path towards our ultimate goal."

UP NEXT: The men's basketball team is back in action again on Friday November 11 at 8 pm as they host the Algonquin Wolves at the Casa Loma Athletic Centre.
