Huskies #11 stands with arms out to the side

On Saturday (Jan 21), the George Brown women's basketball team (1-7) lost a hard fought battle to the Durham Lords (9-1) by a score of 75-54.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Huskies came out strong in the opening half outscoring the Lords 22-18 in the first quarter, led by the scoring of Kiara Graham (1st Year) who netted seven points in just eight minutes of play. The Huskies would take a slight 34-31 lead into halftime. In the second half, the Lords would prove to be too strong as they outpowered the Huskies holding George Brown to just four points in the fourth quarter. Samuelle Hakh (3rd Year) would finish with 12 points and four rebounds and Jordyn Dawkins (1st Year) would add 11 points and three rebounds. 
 
 
NEXT UP: The men's basketball team will be in action on Tuesday January 24 at 7 pm inside the Casa Loma Athletic Centre as they host the Fleming Knights (3-8) for George Brown's Bell Let's Talk day. Both teams will be in action on Friday January 27 as they travel to Seneca College to play the Sting. Action begins at 6 pm. Can't make it person?
