The George Brown women's basketball team found the win column again, after an impressive 61-49 team victory on Friday night (Jan 27) at Seneca College. The men's team extended their win streak to 11 with a dominating 79-52 win.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Led by the scoring of rookie guard Ava Proskos - who finished with a game high 18 points on 7-for-9 shooting from the field and 3-for-5 from the three-point line- the Huskies outscored the Sting 41-27 in the first quarter. From there, the Huskies wouldn't look back. Despite the Sting outscoring the Huskies in the second quarter 17-9, George Brown entered halftime with a 50-44 lead. In the second half, the Huskies would add another 11 points to the scoresheet to earn their second win of the season by a score of 61-49. Kiara Graham (1st Year) and Samuelle Hakh (2nd Year) both finished with 11 points each in the win.
