HUSKIES DROP DOUBLEHEADER TO ST. CLAIR

The men's baseball team came up short in their doubleheaders to the St. Clair Saints on the road Saturday (Sept. 14) evening.

Game 1: St. Clair 13, George Brown 1
The Huskies struggled early, giving up seven runs in the second inning and couldn't recover.

Third-year pitcher Finlay Butler took the loss, allowing 10 earned runs on 13 hits over 2.2 innings. First-year outfielder Connor Gentes drove in the lone run for George Brown.

Game 2: St. Clair 6, George Brown 0
First-year pitcher Daniel Marquez delivered a strong effort, striking out eight over 4.2 innings while allowing four earned runs on three hits and six walks.

St. Clair scored three runs in both the second and fifth innings, while the Huskies offence  remained quiet.

UP NEXT: The Huskies (0-4) road trip continues on Sunday (Sept. 15), when they battle the Lambton Lions (4-0). Games are scheduled for 1pm and 3:15pm.
